Something you should know about me: I love miniature things. Tiny shoes, tiny lamps, tiny brass beds, tiny fly swaters...you get the picture. The little person deep inside me who fears becoming a hoarder slaps my wrist at flea markets when I pick up a cute miniature trombone and consider buying it, but, I might at least fondle it and think about the teeny tiny person that would play the instrument. There are probably a team of men in white coats coming for me right now, but before they get me, I want to share the work of Dalton Ghetti. No art giant, Dalton Ghetti coaches volleyball at the Y.M.C.A. in Bridgeport, CT and practices carpentry. He sells postcards of his work, but the sculptures aren't for sale for art collectors OR for miniature people--no matter how tiny you are, so don't ask!
WOW! i LOOOOOVE it!

ReplyDeleteI love this guy. I read an article about him a while back saying he has carved a pencil tip heart a day since 02', in honor of 3k 911 victims. I've considered that if I could muster the patience to even write in a diary everyday, maybe I'd stop being such a useless euro-trash artiste.
