FE FI FO FUM!

I promised something HUGE, right? Just in time for Christmas/ Kwanza/ Hanukkah/ Whatever, I present to you the ultimate Gender-Neutral-Domestic Challenge (like how I did that?  How very sexist of me to have named my blog Girl-Domestic!  Sorry, Orlando!).  Think of it like Design Star, only bigger...uh, smaller!  There might even be design star winners involved (hint).  Ready?  So, you may have noticed, I'm kind of obsessed with miniatures if you read this post, or this one, or this one.  Well, it turns out I'm not the only one in Bloglandia who is.  Who knew "crazy lady chic" could ever be so cool?  Some blog-friends and I have joined forces with our readers (both of you, in my case) to host the I'M A GIANT CHALLENGE.  What do you need to do to be involved?  Just buy (or make) a tiny house (or 'dollhouse', if you will...and I will) and decorate each room as you would your fantasy dream house.  Don't let the word 'dollhouse' limit you.  It could be a shoebox, a milk crate, a teapot...ANYTHING!  It can be incredibly detailed or totally conceptual.  I'm decorating a big dollhouse, but you can do a 1 room diorama, if you so choose.  Its amazing what you can find in your own home that doubles as a tiny piece of furniture--and you will need to...they can get really expensive.  So you really have to love your niece or daughter or whatever if you want to give her your masterpiece as a gift for any of the aforementioned holidays! You will have until December 15th to complete your project.  Upload your progress photos to the widgets that link you to us, the hosts of the challenge (below).  If you have a blog yourself,  challenge your own readers to get involved.  The whole world should be involved in this challenge!! In December, we will have a HUGE tiny gallery opening in LA, to which some of you will be invited to showcase your mini treasure.  We do also plan to pitch a massive magazine story--so if you want to potentially see your work on the glossy pages of a magazine, DO enter the challenge!  The following Blogs are hosting the event:

Feel free to ask any questions and let me know ASAP if you would like to join us in the challenge.  The best part?  Our friends at Melissa and Doug have generously agreed to give our readers a discount on their amazing dollhouses to get you started.  Below, please find the deets.
